PACIFICA

These waves inspired by the pacific and caribbean tides, months later still remembering Miami, will bring serenity, zen, and calming energy to your home. Part of the Oceans Series, inspired by water in motion and expressed through the flowing fluid of wet paint.

Rainbow Delta

This is a special painting and I did not intend for it to be rainbow colored going into the painting. I was in a headspace where i just wanted to paint. It was a transitional period, before moving into a new apartment with an space to create. The creative energy accumulated so when I stood there at the canvas it flowed through on to the canvas in a fit of action. I included Rainbow Delta in many shows & heard many interpretations of the piece. My favorite involves a dark bird like figure in the center flying out of the darkness and into the light.

Molten Sunset

In this piece I wanted to capture the essence of magma or molten lava with the colors of a tropical sunset. The result is a fiery, warm energy that will fill your home with warmth.

Acrylic and mixed media on canvas 30x40 inches April 2017

Glacier

Glacier

Another artist recommended that I keep the drip as an artistic social commentary on the crisis of global warming. With my love for nature in its pristine form it made perfect sense, glacier is part of the ongoing oceans series. As sea ice slowly becomes more ocean the currents and storms strengthen, this painting depicts northern tundra and glaciers during the melt in an abstract aerial perspective.

Two Moons

One of the last remaining works of the planetary series I started in 2016. I remember being out of canvas and decided to paint a wall mirror. The way the different types of paints pooled and ran together in beautiful chemical reactions inspired me to keep creating work using these techniques.

Stardust

Stardust

When I began to go in this abstract direction in my paintings, one of the first subjects i found inspiring was deep space. Images taken by telescopes made our lives here on earth seem small and trivial. Thinking about the vastness of our universe has helped be become more self aware.

22x24 inches a mixed media painting (framed)

originally painted Fall 2016, then repainted a year later.

RESIST

RESIST

Fits of action and frustration expressed the best way I know how. Within the turmoil of our modern lives, art is a productive way we can find relief. I choose to find and focus on what we have in common rather than what makes us different, to relate to peers both socially and professionally. This society and our subsequent frustration is something that sadly bonds us together. One of the easiest things to do is to lift each other up in collaborative projects, find the light. Find the helpers, be a helper… Resist
